Build Arena
Time-boxed challenges where the work is judged against a rubric published before entries open. Free to enter, judged by people, with an appeal window.
Current status
There is no open challenge right now. The first challenge will be announced to members and on our social channels with its full rules, rubric, judges and funding status. Get notified.
How judging works
- Rules and the rubric are published before entries open and don't change after.
- Submissions are frozen at the deadline, enforced by the server.
- An AI review report summarises each entry against the rubric and flags missing evidence. It is advisory only.
- At least two independent human judges score every eligible entry and declare conflicts of interest.
- Provisional results are published, followed by an appeal window reviewed by someone other than the original judges.
Our funding promise
We will never announce a cash award that isn't already funded. Awards come from sponsors, documented before announcement. If no sponsor funds a challenge, recognition is non-cash: featured placement, a Builder Passport milestone and introductions.
Entry is always free. There are no entry fees, pooled prizes or paid votes.
